Ayurveda has long praised the beneficial effects of drinking water from copper vessels. According to Ayurveda, storing water in a copper bottle or cup for 8 to 10 hours has a balancing effect on the three bioenergies (doshas) flowing in the human body: Vata (the element of air), Pitta (the element of fire) and Kapha (the element of water). Water stored in copper vessels also naturally acquires alkaline properties, which helps maintain the pH balance in the body.

As a result of natural oxidation, copper changes colour over time; this phenomenon is called patina. Stains or blotches may also appear on the material. These are natural properties of copper that have no negative effect on the experience of drinking from this vessel. Pure copper reacts with oxygen, water and substances contained in water, such as sulphur. These very signs indicate a high copper content and confirm the vessel's effectiveness in purifying water. Discolouration on the inside is harmless. If the discolouration is too pronounced, you can clean the bottle, carafe, water dispenser or cup.

Copper vessels are suitable for water only; do not use them for milk, citrus juices or other acidic liquids.

Do not wash the vessels in the dishwasher. For cleaning, use natural soap, a soft sponge and room-temperature water. Do not expose them to direct sunlight. Our unique copper drinking bottles, jugs, water dispensers and cups have been handmade in India for centuries. Precisely because they are handmade, each piece is unique and may differ slightly from the photograph. Minor material imperfections may also occur, which are part of the natural properties of copper.
