Ayurveda has advocated the benefits of drinking water from copper drinking vessels since ancient times. Ayurveda states that when you leave water in a copper bottle or glass for 8–10 hours, it has a balancing effect on the three bioenergies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: the air element, Pitta: the fire element and Kapha: the water element). In addition, water in copper drinking vessels turns into naturally alkaline water, which helps maintain the body's pH balance.

Due to natural oxidation, copper changes colour over time. This is called patina. The material may also start to show stains. These are natural properties of copper and have no negative effect on drinking from the copper object. Pure copper reacts with oxygen, water and residues in the water, such as sulphur. In fact, this means the object has a high copper content and cleans water well. Discolouration of the inside is not harmful. If the discolouration increases too much, you can clean the bottle, jug, water tank or glass.

Bottle volume: 1 litre
Bottle weight: 435 g
Bottle dimensions: height 28 cm, Ø 7.6 cm
Bottle packaging with cardboard tube: weight 575 g, height 33 cm, Ø 9 cm

Copper drinking vessels are only suitable for water, not for example for milk, citrus juices or acidic liquids.

Do not wash in the dishwasher. Clean with natural soap, a soft sponge and room-temperature water. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

Our unique copper drinking bottles, jugs, water tanks and glasses have been handmade in India for centuries. Precisely because they are handmade, each piece is unique and may therefore differ slightly from the photograph. Inconsistencies in the material may also occur: this is part of the natural properties of copper.
